Food wasn't delivered. Ordered at 5:00 PM for delivery at 7:30 PM. At 8:00 PM, the phone said they couldn't help. Unprofessional.

I celebrated my birthday and I was satisfied with the food and service I am really happy.
Its really good, food is really tasty (tho can be spicy) and the place looks very nice. But one thing was strange for me - one empty dosa costed SFr. 9.-. For those who doesnt know, dosa is a crêpe. So imagine u get an empty crêpe for 9.- 😄

Disappointing Experience at Restaurant "Indian Summer, Basel, SwitzerlandI must say this was our worst experience in Switzerland. I visited this restaurant with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday on 4th Oct 2025, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant.What Happened:1. We asked if we could cut a birthday cake for my wife. The staff (a lady) declined our request.2. Later, another lady (whom we assumed was the owner) seemed okay with it. However, the previous staff member returned and rudely questioned why we asked again, stating she had already said no.3. Her tone and behavior were unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful.4. This was our first unpleasant experience in Switzerland, which made it even more disappointing.5. On a positive note, the ambience was good.Despite the nice setting, the rude behavior of the staff overshadowed the occasion and left us deeply disappointed.

We waited 1.5 hours and then left without getting our food.The female server was the worst. After an hour, we pointed out that we'd been waiting so long, but there was no apology, and no answer as to why. When we asked again after another 15 minutes, we received a very snippy reply that the restaurant was full. All the other tables had already had their food by that time, except for us, and we were one of the first tables that evening.The server most likely forgot to send our food to the kitchen, but didn't have the courage to openly admit it.The food was actually really good. What a shame! I won't go there again.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Basel.I understand that Switzerland is expensive, but this restaurant takes advantage of customers in the name of “fine dining.” The portion sizes were shockingly small for the prices charged — for Chilly Chicken (CHF 19), they served just 4 tiny pieces, and for Chicken Kebab (CHF 19), only 2 small pieces. This is nothing short of daylight robbery.The food itself was average at best, certainly not worth the outrageous prices. Customers expect to pay a premium in Switzerland, but what they don’t expect is being blatantly ripped off with such miserly portions.There are plenty of good Indian restaurants across Europe that serve generous portions at fair prices. This place survives only by misleading unsuspecting visitors. Absolutely not recommended — save your money and your appetite!

Last Saturday I ate at Indian Summer, and once again, it was fantastic! The service was also perfect and very friendly. I don't understand the two negative reviews at all; they're probably just jealous! I highly recommend it.
Hello Indian Summer!Thank you for your wonderful hospitality & delicious food!The atmosphere was good & the service too.. I will have one suggestion, the dishes were taking time to come, so maybe a bit of an improvement possible there.. However, I understand that, you must be busy with a lot of customers today, since it was the rush of the peak time & the weekend.. So all good there!From the food perspective, the starters and drinks were amazing! Really good.. The main course, specially those Indian specific main course dishes were good, an improvement needed in the Lamm Biryani & probably the sweet (Halwa).. These were average. Everything else was simply delicious!An additional comment, considering the price to quantity ratio, we would say, you can increase the quantity a bit more. For example, in this Tandoori Chicken starter, there were just two pieces, tbh, other competitors serve more! So, just a friendly suggestion to increase the quantity a little bit more! Overall, quality & the taste, tip top! 😋👌

It's actually my favorite place to eat in the city, but the last two times it took over an hour for the food to be served. It's a shame, because Uber Eats is always so quick.
Cuisine is quite ok.But service is not ok.They have given me a soup with 3cl. I guess there was a problem with the delivery. Of course I have asked for pay back and they just didn’t care. They have dared to refuse.will never go back over there.

This was our first time at the Indian Summer Restaurant and we really enjoyed our visit: the food is excellent, the service is very warm and pleasant and the restaurant is very nice.
We went here for the first time today and ordered Chicken Korma, Sukha Chicken, and South Chicken—all incredibly delicious. We also tried three different naan dishes, of which we liked the garlic naan the best—so good! (We didn't like the cheese naan quite as much because it was made with cream cheese). The homemade lemonade was also great, and the service was very friendly. We'll be back!

The restaurant's interior is a bit dated, but it was still very clean and inviting. There were two of us there. The food was delicious and the service extremely friendly.It was also quite busy for a Monday evening.We'll definitely eat there again.

We booked this restaurant for a Friday evening for 6 people. The food was also tasty and a good portion, the service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing! This was our first time dining here and we will be back for sure.

The food was not bad and had the right sized potion even though I would like my idian food a little bit more spicy.However, I was really disappointed that for a takeaway they do not allow to use the Prozentbuch/ vouchers even though it nowhere states that you have to eat inside of the restaurant. Even after writing on the online order, that we will be using the voucher, the personal told me that their boss said it wont be possible to add the voucher for takeaway and that she cant and wont do anything about it. This made the whole experience a disappointing one which is a pity because the restaurant itself looked nice from the inside. Probably wouldn't reccomend it to friends or going again regarding the service and the pricing.

Ordered a butter chicken and lamb madras as a take away, we only got one rice and as you can see from tbe pic the curry is also a half portion, so was disappointed before I took a bite. Then we get to the curry, SALT all I could taste was salt, I nearly returned it is was so bad. Next was the consistency of the curry, it was thin and runny and unlike any curry I have had before and I’ve eaten in hundreds of curry houses. All in all a huge disappointment and would not recommend.

The place is pretty but the food is horrible. Worde shahi paneer I've had. Ever.Update: Now the restaurant arguments that thos is kadhai paneer, which is even worse. No bell Peppers to be found, not even a light hint of ginger. Really feels like the spices came out of a MDH spice mix.Please investigate what happened. I had high expectations.

I came here to celebrate a birthday party. The atmosphere is very welcoming and traditional. The staff is friendly and they also made a cake surprise and song for my friend which it was incredibly nice! The food was really good, I had the vegetarian option and it was tasty and creamy , while my friends they all get the chicken and they all enjoyed it.I would definitely recommend to give it a try!

This was probably the best Indian restaurant I've ever been. The food was delicious, served in small cups to share but the best part was the warm welcome and atmosphere in the restaurant. Everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. This will be our new favourite place for cozy family evenings with great food in Basel!

Food average; drinks good. The owner (?) seems a nice person, but the strange lady -who served us with minimal friendliness- was keep sniffing (!) while we were ordering. That takes much of my appetite straight away. The appetizer tandoori chicken was nice, the coconut curry plain, the lamb vindaloo not spicy enough. Garlic naan nice, rice plenty. Gulag jamun very small portion but tasty enough. Overall ok, but there are better Indians in the area to enjoy

Very nice atmosphere and kind and fast service. The food didn't impress me that much: it was fine, the souce was creamy, good consistency, but all dishes were salty and tasted a bit similar. The naan was nice crispy and light. Next time I will choose something different to test once more!

I had dinner at Indian Summer with a group of 10 people today and we absolutely loved it! The ambience of the restaurant is simply fantastic – a perfect mix of comfort and exotic flair. You immediately feel comfortable and can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere.The food was sensational! Every dish was prepared with attention to detail, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the selection of dishes really leaves nothing to be desired. Particularly noteworthy is the freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of Indian cuisine. Each of us loved the different flavors we were able to try.The service was also first class. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional - despite our large group, we were served quickly and extremely courteously. Special requests were fulfilled without any problems and we really felt like we were in good hands.Conclusion: An all-round successful experience that we will definitely repeat. Indian Summer gets a full 5 stars from us and a clear recommendation!

This restaurant is an affront to Indian cuisine. All the dishes use the same curry base, and apart from salt & turmeric no other spice is used.I have attached a photo of what the restaurant calls "Dal Makhani". Dal Makhani is supposed to have a gravy of tomatoes, onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. The colour is supposed to be dark brown. How can you serve undercooked lentils in a yellow gravy and call it Dal Makhani? And then also claim to be an Indian restaurant?The other dishes we ordered were also extremely bland. Malai Kofta had the exact same gravy as Dal Makhani. Vegetable Devil only had one spice - black pepper. India is supposed to have other spices!Please avoid this restaurant if you want to eat Indian food.P.S. It also took 40 minutes for our order to arrive. Which was a blessing. We were only able to eat the "food" that was served because we were hungry.

Today we went to Indian Summer with the family. Our children don't eat spicy foods, so they had butter chicken. I was able to enjoy the devil and my wife the thikka masala. The 4 of us are thrilled with all the dishes and the nice service from Akilan and his team. The food was so good that I didn't want a photo until after I had finished eating it.😅 We'll definitely be back. Anything other than 5 stars makes no sense here. Keep it up!🙌🏽😁

Listen up, this is a love letter to your Chilli Chicken. I've been ordering it for what feels like a lifetime, and every single time, the flavours are next-level, food-coma inducing deliciousness. Seriously, as a south asian, I live for this spicy level.But we need to have a little chat about the portion size. For 12 CHF, I got 3.5 tiny pieces of chicken. And I order normally 2 portions because I know its an starter dish but even for a starter the portion is incredibly tiny. I mean, come on, guys, it looked like someone took half a chicken breast, gave it a chop, and called it a day. My taste buds were throwing a fiesta, but my stomach was left feeling like it got stood up at the prom.So here’s my desperate plea: Please, for the love of all things spicy, either share your magical Chilli Chicken recipe so I can attempt to recreate it (and probably fail spectacularly) at home, or, even better, increase the portion size! Just a few more pieces of that divine chicken would make my day – nay, my life! Help a hungry fan out and throw in a bit more chicken.

Each individual dish has its own unique flavor and is of excellent quality; The spices are perfectly matched to each other and therefore offer authentic Indian culinary delights.The price-performance ratio is also sensational, which always gives us a completely perfect stay.Many thanks to the entire team and see you again soon!

All the dishes had the same taste and curry base. Nothing like authentic Indian food. I believe there are many other better Indian options in Basel, definitely won't recommend this.

Staff : The staff is polite and courteous.Ambience : It is a quite place. Good ambience and cleanliness. Largely non-indian crowd when I was there.Food : The flavour is average. But I wasn't expecting flavour anyway. The disappointment was that daal makhani had too much salt. So much that I had to return it. Even when they brought it back, salt content was still quite high.Overall a disappointing experience.
Simply GREAT once again! Everything is alright. A really great boss with attentive employees - a great team and you can feel it. Food excellent, furnishings very inviting, clean and tasteful. We had another happy, fulfilling evening in Indian Summer and will be back soon. It was our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It even moved to this much nicer location than before, but since the last two weeks, orders were mixed up, it was too spicy (ordering none spicy) and the replacement didn't have any taste at all, plus the parathas are far from what they've been a month ago 😔We'll come back after the summer vacation to see (and we sincerely hope) if it's back to what we've been used to 😊

It is now the second time we have been to this restaurant and again we were not disappointed: everything is delicious and the service is very nice & helpful. Do not forget to order their butter naan: omg! If food & people in India are as great as in this restaurant, we regret we have never visited India....

A wonderful Indian restaurant. From the warm welcome to the farewell, the well-coordinated team makes you feel very welcome. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired. The explanations of the exciting dishes and wines are understandable and accurate. We had dinner there on December 31, 2023. Despite being at full capacity, the staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Also a big compliment to the kitchen, we received the dishes in a timely manner and they were once again a real treat! We had another very successful evening at “Indian Sommer” and can recommend this address with a clear conscience. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

Eating in the restaurant was a real treat! The lamb curry was deliciously prepared and the lentil soup was also a highlight. The friendly staff provided excellent service, and the homemade hibiscus tea perfectly rounded off the dining experience. I put a little comment, while passing through Basel for the holidays, we made a little detour to this restaurant. Indian food lovers with an average budget (between 50-65 francs for 2 people), this place is perfect for you. The food is good, the waiter is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and the music allows you to relax. We had a great time☺️

I had lunch today (13.12.2023) at Indian Summer Restaurant. I ordered chicken with naan bread, and broccoli soup that was included in the menu. The 'broccoli soup' was so watery with no trace of broccoli! The main meal arrived and was told that the naan would follow in 2/3 minutes. The vegetables on the plate looked pretty meager and lifeless.The chicken pieces had hardly any masala. After waiting for over 10 minutes, I asked the waitress about the naan. She said that it would be ready soon. I asked her to cancel the naan, finished the lacklustre meal, paid and left the restaurant.As an elderly Indian, with a fine taste for Indian cuisine, I was very disappointed with the food and service at this restaurant.
There is simply a good atmosphere in this restaurant! This is so valuable and is also transferred to the food. Very good value for money.

We ate there as a larger group (7 people).The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and the distances between the tables are well chosen. We were served very friendly and when we asked for recommendations the menu was explained to us. While ordering, there were also tips on what would go well with it, for example as a starter.Everyone enjoyed the food, the portions were more than sufficient (5 of us had to have something packed, which worked without any problems). The starter was even explained and introduced to us again when it was served.

Here you can find fine Indian food in a nice atmosphere. The butter chicken and chicken tika masala we ordered were very good and the portions were very large. On a Sunday evening you could find a table even without a reservation. The service is very friendly. The only problem was the ventilation, after a while it got a bit stuffy. All in all a good experience, the food is recommended.
Unfortunately it wasn't meet my expectations. Meat and sauces were not good. Afterwards we didn't feel well the whole night. The clothes after the dinner smelt bad.

We have waited for the food for over an hour! Ordering took a very long time too as they have only one waitress for the whole restaurant..We ordered a middle spicy dish which was full of hot chillis so we couldn’t eat that dish at all.We also have asked for more rice in the beginning of the meal, but it hadn’t arrived until the dishes were already cold.We would really not recommend to go there

The whole end to end experience is lovely. You can book a table 24/7, online which is very convenient. My family and I loved the very relaxed and positive vibe underpinned with nice music, you notice it right away when you enter. Extremely friendly staff who were very forthcoming and customer oriented, instead of focusing mainly on their tasks. They could read desires before they were expressed, which is rare in Basel. The food was the icing, very nice and authentic indian food, when it says spicy it is spicy which is great for people who like that! Soon again, thank you! 🙏🏾

It’s neither economical nor too costly.There is a lot of Chicken and masala gravy which is more compared to the rice in the biryani. The portion of palak paneer too is very good. All in all a good experience.
They moved to a new place. The food remained the same however the portion is definitely smaller. A chicken saag had 4 (!) small chicken peaces. Their “Lunch card” reader almost never works. Prepare debit/credit card as an option too in case you want to pay with it.

Very cozy restaurant. Not super big and has a lot of vegetarian options. The price is also not shocking, so thats for sure a good thing. I ordered the Palak Paneer and the taste was very good! They had a nice primitivo and some good home made soda’s. The service is friendly and good. Will for sure return!
Decent in parts. Bindhi Masala & Naans are definitely worth a try. Pakora & Samosas, not really. Very slow service so do order drinks and appetizers as soon as you get in.

Its really good, food is really tasty (tho can be spicy) and the place looks very nice. But one thing was strange for me - one empty dosa costed SFr. 9.-. For those who doesnt know, dosa is a crêpe. So imagine u get an empty crêpe for 9.- 😄

Disappointing Experience at Restaurant "Indian Summer, Basel, SwitzerlandI must say this was our worst experience in Switzerland. I visited this restaurant with my family to celebrate my wife's birthday on 4th Oct 2025, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant.What Happened:1. We asked if we could cut a birthday cake for my wife. The staff (a lady) declined our request.2. Later, another lady (whom we assumed was the owner) seemed okay with it. However, the previous staff member returned and rudely questioned why we asked again, stating she had already said no.3. Her tone and behavior were unnecessarily harsh and disrespectful.4. This was our first unpleasant experience in Switzerland, which made it even more disappointing.5. On a positive note, the ambience was good.Despite the nice setting, the rude behavior of the staff overshadowed the occasion and left us deeply disappointed.

We waited 1.5 hours and then left without getting our food.The female server was the worst. After an hour, we pointed out that we'd been waiting so long, but there was no apology, and no answer as to why. When we asked again after another 15 minutes, we received a very snippy reply that the restaurant was full. All the other tables had already had their food by that time, except for us, and we were one of the first tables that evening.The server most likely forgot to send our food to the kitchen, but didn't have the courage to openly admit it.The food was actually really good. What a shame! I won't go there again.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Basel.I understand that Switzerland is expensive, but this restaurant takes advantage of customers in the name of “fine dining.” The portion sizes were shockingly small for the prices charged — for Chilly Chicken (CHF 19), they served just 4 tiny pieces, and for Chicken Kebab (CHF 19), only 2 small pieces. This is nothing short of daylight robbery.The food itself was average at best, certainly not worth the outrageous prices. Customers expect to pay a premium in Switzerland, but what they don’t expect is being blatantly ripped off with such miserly portions.There are plenty of good Indian restaurants across Europe that serve generous portions at fair prices. This place survives only by misleading unsuspecting visitors. Absolutely not recommended — save your money and your appetite!

I will have one suggestion, the dishes were taking time to come, so maybe a bit of an improvement possible there.. However, I understand that, you must be busy with a lot of customers today, since it was the rush of the peak time & the weekend.. So all good there!From the food perspective, the starters and drinks were amazing! Really good.. The main course, specially those Indian specific main course dishes were good, an improvement needed in the Lamm Biryani & probably the sweet (Halwa).. These were average. Everything else was simply delicious!An additional comment, considering the price to quantity ratio, we would say, you can increase the quantity a bit more. For example, in this Tandoori Chicken starter, there were just two pieces, tbh, other competitors serve more! So, just a friendly suggestion to increase the quantity a little bit more! Overall, quality & the taste, tip top! 😋👌

This was our first time at the Indian Summer Restaurant and we really enjoyed our visit: the food is excellent, the service is very warm and pleasant and the restaurant is very nice.
We went here for the first time today and ordered Chicken Korma, Sukha Chicken, and South Chicken—all incredibly delicious. We also tried three different naan dishes, of which we liked the garlic naan the best—so good! (We didn't like the cheese naan quite as much because it was made with cream cheese). The homemade lemonade was also great, and the service was very friendly. We'll be back!

We booked this restaurant for a Friday evening for 6 people. The food was also tasty and a good portion, the service was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was fun and relaxing! This was our first time dining here and we will be back for sure.

The food was not bad and had the right sized potion even though I would like my idian food a little bit more spicy.However, I was really disappointed that for a takeaway they do not allow to use the Prozentbuch/ vouchers even though it nowhere states that you have to eat inside of the restaurant. Even after writing on the online order, that we will be using the voucher, the personal told me that their boss said it wont be possible to add the voucher for takeaway and that she cant and wont do anything about it. This made the whole experience a disappointing one which is a pity because the restaurant itself looked nice from the inside. Probably wouldn't reccomend it to friends or going again regarding the service and the pricing.

Ordered a butter chicken and lamb madras as a take away, we only got one rice and as you can see from tbe pic the curry is also a half portion, so was disappointed before I took a bite. Then we get to the curry, SALT all I could taste was salt, I nearly returned it is was so bad. Next was the consistency of the curry, it was thin and runny and unlike any curry I have had before and I’ve eaten in hundreds of curry houses. All in all a huge disappointment and would not recommend.

I came here to celebrate a birthday party. The atmosphere is very welcoming and traditional. The staff is friendly and they also made a cake surprise and song for my friend which it was incredibly nice! The food was really good, I had the vegetarian option and it was tasty and creamy , while my friends they all get the chicken and they all enjoyed it.I would definitely recommend to give it a try!

Food average; drinks good. The owner (?) seems a nice person, but the strange lady -who served us with minimal friendliness- was keep sniffing (!) while we were ordering. That takes much of my appetite straight away. The appetizer tandoori chicken was nice, the coconut curry plain, the lamb vindaloo not spicy enough. Garlic naan nice, rice plenty. Gulag jamun very small portion but tasty enough. Overall ok, but there are better Indians in the area to enjoy

Very nice atmosphere and kind and fast service. The food didn't impress me that much: it was fine, the souce was creamy, good consistency, but all dishes were salty and tasted a bit similar. The naan was nice crispy and light. Next time I will choose something different to test once more!

This restaurant is an affront to Indian cuisine. All the dishes use the same curry base, and apart from salt & turmeric no other spice is used.I have attached a photo of what the restaurant calls "Dal Makhani". Dal Makhani is supposed to have a gravy of tomatoes, onion, ginger, garlic and green chillies. The colour is supposed to be dark brown. How can you serve undercooked lentils in a yellow gravy and call it Dal Makhani? And then also claim to be an Indian restaurant?The other dishes we ordered were also extremely bland. Malai Kofta had the exact same gravy as Dal Makhani. Vegetable Devil only had one spice - black pepper. India is supposed to have other spices!Please avoid this restaurant if you want to eat Indian food.P.S. It also took 40 minutes for our order to arrive. Which was a blessing. We were only able to eat the "food" that was served because we were hungry.

Today we went to Indian Summer with the family. Our children don't eat spicy foods, so they had butter chicken. I was able to enjoy the devil and my wife the thikka masala. The 4 of us are thrilled with all the dishes and the nice service from Akilan and his team. The food was so good that I didn't want a photo until after I had finished eating it.😅 We'll definitely be back. Anything other than 5 stars makes no sense here. Keep it up!🙌🏽😁

Listen up, this is a love letter to your Chilli Chicken. I've been ordering it for what feels like a lifetime, and every single time, the flavours are next-level, food-coma inducing deliciousness. Seriously, as a south asian, I live for this spicy level.But we need to have a little chat about the portion size. For 12 CHF, I got 3.5 tiny pieces of chicken. And I order normally 2 portions because I know its an starter dish but even for a starter the portion is incredibly tiny. I mean, come on, guys, it looked like someone took half a chicken breast, gave it a chop, and called it a day. My taste buds were throwing a fiesta, but my stomach was left feeling like it got stood up at the prom.So here’s my desperate plea: Please, for the love of all things spicy, either share your magical Chilli Chicken recipe so I can attempt to recreate it (and probably fail spectacularly) at home, or, even better, increase the portion size! Just a few more pieces of that divine chicken would make my day – nay, my life! Help a hungry fan out and throw in a bit more chicken.

All the dishes had the same taste and curry base. Nothing like authentic Indian food. I believe there are many other better Indian options in Basel, definitely won't recommend this.

Staff : The staff is polite and courteous.Ambience : It is a quite place. Good ambience and cleanliness. Largely non-indian crowd when I was there.Food : The flavour is average. But I wasn't expecting flavour anyway. The disappointment was that daal makhani had too much salt. So much that I had to return it. Even when they brought it back, salt content was still quite high.Overall a disappointing experience.
Simply GREAT once again! Everything is alright. A really great boss with attentive employees - a great team and you can feel it. Food excellent, furnishings very inviting, clean and tasteful. We had another happy, fulfilling evening in Indian Summer and will be back soon. It was our favourite Indian restaurant in the area. It even moved to this much nicer location than before, but since the last two weeks, orders were mixed up, it was too spicy (ordering none spicy) and the replacement didn't have any taste at all, plus the parathas are far from what they've been a month ago 😔We'll come back after the summer vacation to see (and we sincerely hope) if it's back to what we've been used to 😊

A wonderful Indian restaurant. From the warm welcome to the farewell, the well-coordinated team makes you feel very welcome. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired. The explanations of the exciting dishes and wines are understandable and accurate. We had dinner there on December 31, 2023. Despite being at full capacity, the staff was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Also a big compliment to the kitchen, we received the dishes in a timely manner and they were once again a real treat! We had another very successful evening at “Indian Sommer” and can recommend this address with a clear conscience. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

I had lunch today (13.12.2023) at Indian Summer Restaurant. I ordered chicken with naan bread, and broccoli soup that was included in the menu. The 'broccoli soup' was so watery with no trace of broccoli! The main meal arrived and was told that the naan would follow in 2/3 minutes. The vegetables on the plate looked pretty meager and lifeless.The chicken pieces had hardly any masala. After waiting for over 10 minutes, I asked the waitress about the naan. She said that it would be ready soon. I asked her to cancel the naan, finished the lacklustre meal, paid and left the restaurant.As an elderly Indian, with a fine taste for Indian cuisine, I was very disappointed with the food and service at this restaurant.

We ate there as a larger group (7 people).The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting and the distances between the tables are well chosen. We were served very friendly and when we asked for recommendations the menu was explained to us. While ordering, there were also tips on what would go well with it, for example as a starter.Everyone enjoyed the food, the portions were more than sufficient (5 of us had to have something packed, which worked without any problems). The starter was even explained and introduced to us again when it was served.

Here you can find fine Indian food in a nice atmosphere. The butter chicken and chicken tika masala we ordered were very good and the portions were very large. On a Sunday evening you could find a table even without a reservation. The service is very friendly. The only problem was the ventilation, after a while it got a bit stuffy. All in all a good experience, the food is recommended.
Unfortunately it wasn't meet my expectations. Meat and sauces were not good. Afterwards we didn't feel well the whole night. The clothes after the dinner smelt bad.

We have waited for the food for over an hour! Ordering took a very long time too as they have only one waitress for the whole restaurant..We ordered a middle spicy dish which was full of hot chillis so we couldn’t eat that dish at all.We also have asked for more rice in the beginning of the meal, but it hadn’t arrived until the dishes were already cold.We would really not recommend to go there

The whole end to end experience is lovely. You can book a table 24/7, online which is very convenient. My family and I loved the very relaxed and positive vibe underpinned with nice music, you notice it right away when you enter. Extremely friendly staff who were very forthcoming and customer oriented, instead of focusing mainly on their tasks. They could read desires before they were expressed, which is rare in Basel. The food was the icing, very nice and authentic indian food, when it says spicy it is spicy which is great for people who like that! Soon again, thank you! 🙏🏾

It’s neither economical nor too costly.There is a lot of Chicken and masala gravy which is more compared to the rice in the biryani. The portion of palak paneer too is very good. All in all a good experience.
They moved to a new place. The food remained the same however the portion is definitely smaller. A chicken saag had 4 (!) small chicken peaces. Their “Lunch card” reader almost never works. Prepare debit/credit card as an option too in case you want to pay with it.

We had a really good time at indian summer. Service was really nice and attentive. Unfortunately, the main dishes were far too salty, to the point it was difficult to enjoy them (and I’m someone who eats very salty usually). Great desserts!

Very cozy restaurant. Not super big and has a lot of vegetarian options. The price is also not shocking, so thats for sure a good thing. I ordered the Palak Paneer and the taste was very good! They had a nice primitivo and some good home made soda’s. The service is friendly and good. Will for sure return!
Decent in parts. Bindhi Masala & Naans are definitely worth a try. Pakora & Samosas, not really. Very slow service so do order drinks and appetizers as soon as you get in.
